My point is that Mitt probably crossed the line between in-game and out-of-game douchebaggery, that it wouldn't take much for this to blow up into a scandal that will require CCP's action, and that Mitt, the CSM chair, isn't handling the situation as seriously as he should be.

Anyone whose reputation is built around being a flamboyant douchebag shouldn't enter a sympathy contest with an allegedly depressed suicidal individual, especially if that contest is going to be judged by public opinion. Seriously, if this "scandal" hits the game sites or finds a quasi-mainstream news reporter desperate for a story, Mitt is going find himself censured or worse.

The game rules don't make any distinction about where you release peoples real world information. It simply says doing so is actionable.

For example, opening a website to release EVE players real world information is also not allowed.

You do understand that the USA could simply ban CCP from selling EVE in America correct? You do understand that is something that is not out of the realm of possiblilities if one of these anti-video game people pick this up and run with it. If u notice the only people coming to his defence are goons and friends the majority of eve think that this time he has stepped to far . He has always walked a tight line sometimes but this time just 1 step to far . The fact that he has not stepped down already shows the he does not really care.
